thinking about post nsbu liv using the nickname king. at first it’s just with wendell, dang, usha, and usha confuses her granddaughter talking about king (“grandma, are you talking about the king? like the british one?” “no, no, kingskin” “king what?”) and dang directs people to the register (“king over there can check yall out”) and wendell sends good morning texts (“good morning king!”) and then one day wendell is talking to someone and it slips out—“my boyfriend, king”—and he hasn’t even called liv his girlfriend before, but when he looks over her—his—eyes are big and he whispers, “say that again.”

and she’s still liv. she’s still a girl, she still enjoys her long hair and nail polish and a cute dress when the weather’s right, but sometimes—sometimes he’s king, and he’s not quite a man yet but he’s getting there. and more often it’s both. he’s liv, and she’s king, and he likes to wear cute hair clips that match the pattern of the tie she’s wearing and nail polish the same shade as his suit, and he’s wendell’s girlfriend and boyfriend and friend.

not everyone gets it, but the ones who matter do. paula tells her that’s she’s a lovely young man and dang and her get high and talk about bottom surgery and russell makes him an extra name tag to wear at the video store depending on how she feels that day and helps him with a workout routine.

And if I said the only thing keeping him alive those weeks Rook was gone was Spite and the thought that if he waited long enough for the others to get over this delusional idea that Rook was coming back he might just get a shot at Solas? Might just be able to die taking revenge for the love of his life? And if I said he refused to listen to the others telling him they weren't gone because if he allowed himself even a little bit of hope the pain if it wasn't true would be worse than what he could handle without going insane? I know I've mentioned Bolo being cake in Portuguese (and the mispronounced Bola being Ball) but Idk if people know Porco, from Patia's surname, means Pig in Portuguese (and other romantic languages that use it as an alternative word for it) and I wish Marisha had talked more about it, if it was intentional or not.

I have so many ideas about these two and their unexplored dynamic, but Doflamingo is hard for me to characterize AND draw.

These were the only bits of brainstorming I had that were legible (my rough sketches/writing get ROUGH). Featuring:

1. Doflamingo using the power of love as yet another reason to kill people.

2. Rosinante being incapable of distinguishing between true evil and the things that simply piss him off.

If you want to see what overthinking looks like, I also spent like an hour trying to decide which of these dialogue options were more fitting. I had to ask for assistance (hence the red writing) and could still barely do it.

It's nothing in the end, but details bug me, ha.
